1955 Unfortunately, the wonderful second-story fronts of the three buildings from the left no longer exist, victims of reconstruction after a fire on September 6, 1959. Two other vintage Larkspur business are seen here: Florist Katherine Eubanks to the left of the Rainbow Market, and to the right with the red and white striped awning, the other Larkspur grocery store, Fred Schefer's Food Center. Note that the beverage delivery truck is loaded mainly with heavy-duty, steel-reinforced wooden, reusable containers.
