About halfway down the left side, on the same plane as the fire house, you can see a small building with a green gabled roof and a white front. Located at the corner of Cane St. and Rice Lane, the structure at this time housed the Larkspur Women's Club Thrift Shop. Mother occasionally tended shop there, sometimes accompanied by Paul, who enjoyed rooting through the old magazines and assortments of oddments and gimcracks.
