The
fifth paint-out on the second plate. The fifth etch is 12 minutes, for a total
of 24 minutes. This is the final etch on this plate. |

Now
that the first two plates are done, a two color proof is pulled to get a sence
of how they look together. This proof can help me make color decisions on the
next two plates. |

The
third plate will be printed in an orange yellow ink. |

The
first paint-out covers the blue sky reflected in the water. (I forgot to get
a photo of this stage). It was etched for 2 minutes. |

The
second paint-out demanded more detail than I could see with the rosin on the
plate. I cleaned the rosin and asphaltum off of the plate and did the second
paint-out onto the much easier to see ghost image. The plate was re-rosined
after this paint-out and a 4 minute etch was done. This plate now has a 4 minute
etch over a 2 minute etch. |
