Above , blocks of quilted maple await shipping. Right, flamed or curly Bigleaf maple before being sliced in half for top plates. We stock top plates for retail sales, but we have supplied several larger manufacturers by means of drop shipping (directly from the mill). Dimensions are 20" X 7.5" X 3/4 to 7/8" thick. We also work with several other companies and can supply through them, swamp ash and other body blank woods. Just give us a call.
Left, walnut top plates or drop tops for laminating. At 8" x 24" X 1/4" the sizes cover most electrics, including bass guitars. Figure varies from that at top left (the photo doesn't show the color and grain very well) to the photo on the bottom. The bottom photo is of a billet, grade 5A, and is 20" X 8" X 3". These go for $350.
