I was born in Richmond, California, in 1958.  My full maiden name was Annalisa Campbell.
Most of the time, my family, and friends called me Lisa, which is the name I usually still go by.  I lived in Richmond for eleven years, until 1969, when we moved to Santa Rosa, California.

I lived on Downer Ave., and 43rd St., in Richmond.  I went to Grant, and Woodrow Wilson Elementary Schools.  Then we moved north.

I have lived in Santa Rosa since September 1969.  I went to Herbert Slater Junior High, and Montgomery High Schools.  I graduated in 1976.

I have five brothers, and one sister.  My mother married several times, and had kids at different times, so I mostly grew up with my younger brother, and sister.  Their names are Carl A. Thompson Jr., or Buddy, and Cynthia May Thompson.

I played softball for quite a few years, and I really loved it.  When I was a teenager I "lived" to play softball!!  I did very well, and for the most part, was able to make all the plays, and do the things that you usually dream of doing as a player.  I was very fortunate to have a wonderful gift of talent, and I met a lot of people over the years.  It left me with many great memories.  I haven't played for several years now, and will not ever play again, due to injury, and illness.  But I had a good time while it lasted.

I've held several jobs over the years.  I worked for the California Division of Forestry in the late 1970's.  I also worked at Fairchild Semiconductor, and Hewlett Packard, among other places..  Hewlett Packard is a wonderful company to work for.  I no longer work there now, but maybe someday I will go back.  I am pursuing a career in computer multimedia, and am very excited at the possibilities.  I am almost finished with a computer multimedia class, and then I will move on to a new job.

I am married (since 1987), to Carl Cox.  He is five years younger than me, but what does age matter anyway? :-)  I have no children, but my two dachshunds Mandy, (who sadly passed away on Nov. 28th, 1997),  Misty, and my new puppy,  Barron, are like children to me.  I have always loved animals, and have had several dogs over the years, but since I found Mandy in 1985, I will always have dachshunds!!!  There is something very special about this breed.  You can ask anyone who owns a dachshund, and they will tell you the same.  I love all animals though, and it has enriched my life to have had the different pets over the years.

I have a lot of different interests.  I like planes, trains, cars, and trucks.  My father was a commercial fisherman, and although I didn't grow up living with him, I did get to go out on the sea a couple of times.  Once when I was ten, and then again when I was 20.  My father was 41 when I was born, so he retired shortly after I turned 20.  I would have loved to have gone out on the ocean more, but it didn't work out.

Speaking of ocean, I just love the coast, and we have some beautiful coastline in California.  I am very fortunate to live so close to the coast, I can take a drive out there just about anytime I want to.  I love the sound of the waves crashing, and the salt air.  It is so soothing, and it really relieves the stresses of everyday life.
