David began working at Brelje & Race in 1994 and has been part of the firm’s leadership team since 2002. As a Senior Principal, his responsibilities are divided among several key aspects of the business. David guides staff in our planning, marketing and information technology departments, as well as helping maintain order with respect to the company’s financial records, executive committee actions and workload planning tools. He also provides project management and engineering services to both public and private sector clients, primarily in the water, wastewater and recycled water arenas. His project experience includes embankment dams impounding up to 100 MG, welded steel water storage tanks up to 3 MG capacity, pumping stations up to 2,500 gpm, winery/vineyard site development and winery wastewater treatment systems.

David’s prior professional endeavors include winemaking, mechanical engineering, and construction management, all of which strengthen his innovative approach to projects. When not at work, David enjoys road biking, skiing, and landscaping projects at his home in Santa Rosa. He is an avid petanque player and welcomes all challengers to a game on his home court.
