Brelje & Race was the lead civil engineering consultant for the development of Mayacama Golf Club, situated on 675 acres hidden in a pristine valley above Sonoma County’s Wine Country. Brelje & Race has been involved in nearly all project aspects, from due-diligence activities, surveying services, site planning for utilities, applications and permit processing, major civil design services, through construction oversight of key infrastructure for the 675-acre development. The project presented particular challenges due to site conditions, the extensive list of public agency requirements, demanding project schedule and changes to the project program.

The finished development blends into the land, giving no clue of the civil work and the modern utilities hidden beneath. All wastes generated on site are treated to tertiary level and reused for golf course irrigation, yet no wastewater facilities are visible from any developed location within the development.
