Design
PCI is unique in Northern California because we can handle every aspect of an environmental restoration project: from pre-project consulting to surveying, design, permit acquisition, construction, monitoring, and maintenance. Our designers participate in each of these steps and as a result they are well-rounded and result-oriented.
The landscape architects and civil engineers that make up our design team have experience few other firms can offer: they construct and observe installation of their own designs. Our designers operate bulldozers and excavators; they check grade; they set boulders and plant trees; and they personally observe each job as it’s being built. This real-world construction experience allows us to produce plans that are buildable, permittable, value-engineered and environmentally appropriate. Our design team works closely with our Science and Planning, Environmental Compliance, and Construction teams to produce ecologically sensitive plans that address the needs and budget of our clients, and the requirements of the permitting agencies. Our goal is to facilitate successful projects that grow in beauty and function over time.
