Behold the army of his Most Christian Majesty, Jean II, before whom none
can stand! (Please be so polite as to not mention English longbowmen and
elephants. Especially elephants.)
Navigation
Click on a unit in the picture above to display it, or you can
just simply proceed to
the first group. The group will be displayed in small (common),
medium (noble), or large (royal) resolution, and using a frameset or
not depending upon the choices selected above. More information on
these settings is provided below.
- Resolution
-
The resolution setting affects the size of both the full army
picture shown above as well as the pictures of the individual knight
elements and infantry groups. common resolution is meant
to be displayed if your window size is 640 x 480 pixels or larger, and the
picture file size runs about 15 kbytes. noble resolution is for
window sizes 800 x 600 or larger and uses files about 40k in size.
royal resolution is meant for windows 1024 x 768 and
larger and these photos are about 200k large.
- Use frames?
-
Choosing frames or no frames does not affect how you view
this page. It affects how you view the photos of individual knight
elements or infantry groups. With framesets you have a handy, dandy
navigation frame to the left displaying either the heraldic devices of
a knight element or a thumbnail of an infantry group. Without
framesets you have more window real estate to view the same photo.
(The with frames/no frames versions use the same version of the photo.)
- Army picture
-
This setting simply displays a larger picture of the full army photo
for the given resolution setting, not to mention omitting a good deal
of this tiresome verbiage.
