The on-line version of an 1911 Encyclopedia
- provided much useful additional information. Curiously, this site
does not state which encyclopedia was used. The entries were
created by scanning in the pages and using an optical character reader
to convert the text, and there are numerous errors and glitches in the
text. Nevertheless, I found my Google searches coming back here time
and again, at least for those searches that ended up providing
useful information.
