Thoughts—read before class, revisit for tests

Tea Brewing Day is a group effort and I need volunteers. When the document that invites volunteers is ready to go, it will be listed under "Assignments & Tests > Tea Brewing Day."

We look at color, aroma, taste. Of these, please try to keep in mind the color of the brewed tea since this will become a topic of discussion over the next few weeks since tea color and ceramics have interacted closely over time.

*The upcoming session and the one follow that are identical. Half the class attends one of these two sessions and is free the other day. You will know which is which when I post the details to the sidebar tab "Team Details and Special Attendance Notes".

Schedule

You are welcome to be in the room the full time, or leave after you have tasted tea. However, tea-tasting times are designated (loosely), to try to solve the brewing problem that has arisen because of an insufficient number of brewers. So, here are the group names (the three of you who do not have groups, please just grab a group except Christina L who will be at the brewing table with us and have access to all teas) and times for them (Note added noon on Monday—I see that Sophia has now volunteered to brew tea. That is wonderful but it does change things a lot. So, please consider the timing below as very general because I don't think we can brew tea fast enough for 10-minute slots.):

• ColinGroup, Diversitea: 1:15-1:25
• Dragonball Tea, GraceTeam: 1:25-1:35
• LinGroup, LisaGroup: 1:35-1:45
• Tea-Bags, Teaparty: 1:45-1:55

However, in preparation for the upcoming tea identification day ,you might consider searching the Web for the look of various tea leaves before they are brewed, since tea leaf shape is probably the single best way to identify tea that day (since we do not brew the teas, although you are able to smell them).
