Session 02—Th, Jan 19: Class orientation, II
Topics for this session
❖ We discuss sound.
Thoughts*
The last time I taught this class was Fall 2010. At that time it had 27 sessions scheduled. For some reason this semester there are 28 possible sessions. I decided to put here a "spacer" class. Normally I would cover this material on the first day but a) it wasn't covered as thoroughly as I would like when done that way, and b) the first assignment is the most difficult of the texts for the entire term. This gives you more time to get your feet on the ground and prepared for the first main session.
Today we talk about "sound" from the perspective of what role it plays in a literary work.
