July 4, 1967 A familiar sight on Magnolia Ave. for many years in the 60s and 70s was the "tilted Toyota" at Hil Probert's car dealership, an eye-catching gimmick to promote the hill-climbing ability of the Land Cruiser. The banner behind it reads "The Pioneeer Toyota Dealer," as Probert was indeed the very first in the US. That's the San Francisco Chinatown Girl's Marching Band, a frequent participant in the Twin Cities July Fourth parades. Click here for a shot of the tilted Toyota from the 1966 parade.
