Storm run-off and an exceptionally high tide combined to flood the slough and the dump, so my brother Will and I went out with our cameras to record the event. I still had my very first roll of color film in my camera. One of his shots from that day is next. Out in the bay, above San Quentin Point in the center of the photo, you can see the red of the as yet unpainted girders of the nearly completed Richmond Bridge-San Rafael Bridge.
