The town and Diocese of Soissons lies fifty miles northeast of Paris. Enguerrand VII de Coucy was the Count of Soissons.
The town and Seigneury of Châtillon-sur-Marne is found about fifty miles east northeast of Paris. It belonged to the domain of the count of Champagne.
The town and Countship of Clermont is located thirty miles north of Paris. It is associated with the House of Bourbon through Robert count of Clermont and sixth son of King Louis IX. The current title holder was Beraud II “le Grand” of Clermont, who was also the Dauphin of Auvergne. I really like these yellow on red arms for some reason. Compare to the shield for Chateaubriant.
The Countship of Valois is located in the region just to the northeast of Paris. The direct line of the house of Valois ruled France from 1328 until 1498. In 1342, this countship passed to Philip, duke of Orleans.
