Bugloss in Sonoma

Projects

Above - Purple Bugloss was previously unreported in Sonoma County. We've found it growing abundantly in a field near the city of Sonoma, California.

Recently finished:

1. Petaluma's Best Internatinal Folk Dances (750 digitized recordings).

2. Employee Policy Manual (e-book) - Mosquito & Vector Control District.

3. Report: Forest fires, clearings, and populations of wild Pacific Coast iris

Ongoing Projects:

4. Marin-Sonoma Mosquito & Vector Control District: appointed Trustee, City of Petaluma

5. Magnolia Hills Homeowner's Assocation: Board of Directors

6. Local International folk dance group: acting secretary

The Next-in-Line Projects:

Native iris website header
7. Rebuild the Society of Pacific Coast Native Iris web site.
The 40-page site I put together 15 years ago shows its age, and is hard to maintain and update. Starting in the summer of 2011, the plan is to completely rebuild it, based on today's web site construction standards.
representative lizards
8. Finish the manuscript - Guidebook to the Lizards of Colombia.
As part of a study of malaria in Colombian wildlife, workers at Cali's Universidad del Valle sampled lizards throughout the country. Most of the specimens are in the Universidad Central museum in Bogota. A guide book to the 205 known lizard species is in advanced manuscript form. Finishing the manuscript is the second project, once the new iris website is online.
Earth's Children books
9. Reread Jean Auel's Earth Children series.
I've read the set 3-4 times, plus once on audiobooks, and again in Spanish. When I feel like escaping for a month, Clan of the Cave Bear sits there beckoning to me from the the bookshelf.
Dancing at Afendis Turkish Grill

There's good food and Turkish folk dances at Afendi's Turkish Grill in Petaluma.
