Text Box: We advocate the following considerations
New graywater recycling technologies and creative harvesting techniques are cost effective parts of a sustainable approach to decreasing our dependence on shrinking water aquifers and expensive water treatment plants.
Each of us has a responsibility to conserve water and if possible, harvest the rain that falls on our roofs and use it to reduce our dependence on water treatment plants and the devastating drain of our communal aquifers.
Public education on rain harvesting and graywater recycling is vital to co-creating water abundance. It’s up to each of us to step up and harvest the rain and recycle our graywater; it’s essential for businesses and agriculture to green their water usage ASAP!
The creation of governmental incentives that empower people and businesses to harvest their rainwater and install graywater systems are a vital part of the economic solution.
All new developments need to integrate rainwater harvesting and graywater recycling technologies into their designs if we are to effectively allocate shrinking water resources.

AP Rainwater Harvesting
& Graywater gardens

is dedicated to designing integrated rainwater harvesting and graywater management systems to...

· Increase water availability for potable and non-potable uses.

· Offset county and state water restrictions.

· Save money on water and energy bills.

· Reduce storm water runoff and non-point source pollution.

· Cultivate water retention and ground hydration.

· Acquire L.E.E.D. certification points.

· Increase the value of any property.

· Reduce reliance on aging water infrastructure.

· Empower us all to be part of the sustainable water solutions.

Text Box: Creating water abundance
First, reducing our consumption of groundwater is the key to shifting toward a more sustainable balance with our local water resources. We conserve our water resources by utilizing rainwater, recycling graywater, using low-flow appliances, and by designing integrated systems that maximize supply and reduce demand.
One inch of rain on a 1000 sq. ft. roof provides approximately 620 gallons of harvested rainwater. Here in the County of Sonoma where the average rainfall is 42 inches annually, a 2000 square foot roof could potentially harvest more than 52,000 gallons; that’s enough to satisfy 50% of the water usage needs of a family of four. Hence, harvesting the rain from your roof and installing a graywater system can significantly cut rising water and energy costs.
Currently we drain our communities by diverting rainwater away from rather than infiltrating it into our landscapes, waterways and aquifers. Impervious surfaces like asphalt and concrete directs rainwater to streets and storm drains contributing to downstream flooding and contamination. In the U.S., non-point source pollution accounts for more than 60% of all surface-water pollution. A more sustainable approach is to slow and spread the water into concave “raingardens” that passively harvest the rain, increase topsoil and accumulate mulch, which promotes the growth of trees and natural vegetation, also known as our green-frastructure.
Sustainability = Survival

Providing Innovative Green Solutions For All Your Water Needs

Why is Drinking Plenty of Fresh Clean Water So Important?

Text Box: 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
Lack of water: the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzz short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Imagine, the air you breathe becomes the water you drink. AirQua employs a cutting-edge technology that harvests drinking water while eliminating energy waste and pollution from producing and delivering bottled water. The AirQua Sano replicates the earth’s natural condensation process ensuring that the water you drink is clean and free of toxins and bacteria as well as being safer, purer and fresher than bottled water. By switching to AirQua, you alone will save over 280 gallons of water, eliminate 2240 16oz bottles from polluting our planet, and conserve our groundwater so that it can continue to nourish our earth. Isn’t it time you transformed air into best-tasting, purest drinking water on the planet for your home and business?
