AridTec is an innovative atmospheric water generation (AWG) appliance that makes water from the air we breathe! Free standing at 13"wX16"dX48"h, the dimensions makes it ideal for any home or office and over time offer significant savings other water systems. The AridTec AWG is simple to use, just plug into a standard 110v outlet and it begins harvesting water from the air. There is no plumbing or wiring needed. With the advent of the EPA’s mandate to control storm water runoff through it's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) in the early 90's, the path was paved for the growth of permeable pavements. Permeable pavers can be designed to accommodate a wide variety of storm water management objectives. They provide runoff reductions of up to 100% depending on project design parameters. The pavers also maximize groundwater recharge and/or retention for storage of rainwater for possible re-use for irrigation or other non-potable uses. They reduce nonpoint source pollutants in storm water, thereby mitigating impact on surrounding surface waters, and may lessen or eliminate downstream flooding and stream bank erosion. Permeable pavers minimize impacts and stress on existing storm sewer systems through reduced peak discharges. They allow for better land-use planning by providing a much more efficient use of available land for greater economic value, especially in high-density, urban areas. Additionally, they can decrease projects cost by reducing or eliminating drainage and retention/detention systems. They can also reduce the cost of compliance with water requirements while lowering utility fees. |

Specialized rainwater filter is designed to clean polluted storm water from entering creeks, rivers, streams and lakes. The ready-to-install Hydrosystem 1000 is quickly and safely installed on site and also works for roof areas up to 1000m². The cleaned water has such an excellent water quality that it can be discharged directly into soakaways, surface waters and the wider environment. The filter function is an up-flow process which allows for a minimal height difference between the inlet and outlet. In the filter shaft the rainwater is cleaned by basic operation of the following processes: Sedimentation, Adsorption, Filtration, and Chemical Precipitation. Incoming rainwater is led down to the basal section of the filter shaft. Above the separation chamber are 4 filter elements, occupying the full shaft width such that all water must flow up through the filter. The siltation of this filter is slow due to the upwards flow, and the fact that the filter is below the water level. The filter is easily exchanged and under normal conditions the filter will last for 2 years, maintenance free.

This specialized rainwater filter is suitable for cleaning heavily contaminated waters from trafficked areas (i.e. over 5000 vehicles per day) up to 500m² and is designed for installation within standard manhole shafts, 1000mm diameter. The cleaned water has such an excellent water quality that it can be discharged directly into soakaways, surface waters and the wider environment. The filter function is an up-flow process and this allows for a design with a minimal height difference between the inlet and outlet. A hydrodynamic separator built in the base section promotes particulate sedimentation. The water is led into this separator tangentially and generates a radial flow pattern. Particles settle into the silt trap located below the separation chamber. . The siltation of this filter is slow due to the upwards flow, and the fact that the filter is below the water level. The filter is easily exchanged and under normal conditions will last for 2 years, maintenance free.

Dual-vortex hydrodynamic separator

The Dual-Vortex Hydrodynamic Separator provides enhanced gravity separation of suspended stormwater pollutants in a compact configuration. The unit uses two independent cylindrical separators: Low flow is diverted by the inlet to the first separator, while moderate flow begins to overflow the first control weir and enter the second separator. Settled particles collect in the bottom storage area of the unit which is isolated from the fluid outlet, minimizing resuspension. Floating debris and oils are temporarily held at the top of each separator and deposited in the upper storage area by peak storm events. Once the unit treatment capacity is exceeded, excess flow breaches a second control weir at the inlet and passes through the bypass pipe without decreasing the treatment flow or re-entraining captured pollutants. It is designed to effect greater than 80% removal of TSS reflective of typical urban runoff. Units are sized to treat storm water at the design removal efficiency. Constructed of durable stainless steel and fiberglass components installed in a reinforced concrete structure. all internal parts may be removed in the field through a 48” self-lifting access lid for easy, complete cleaning access. The Cudo™ Storm water Management Systems offers a new approach to underground stormwater storage, infiltration, treatment, rainwater harvesting, and other storm water management needs. The product incorporate a unique arched design that adds structural integrity increased water storage, and enhanced inspection and maintenance access. The Cudo system sets a new standard for storm water treatment systems through its capability of incorporating built-in gross pollutant filters or media filter devices and integral metered outlet devices, eliminating the need for separate pre-treatment systems or outlet/flow control structures. The large void spaces create an ideal use for the Cudo as an integral part of a bioretention system as it replaces drain pipe and aggregate with a highly porous mix, enhancing the opportunity for rainwater harvesting and passive or active irrigation. The CUDO is made in the USA using injection molded, recycled, polypropylene plastic. Potential LEED® NC credits include Sustainable Sites (6.1,6.2), Materials & Reuse (4.1,4.2, 5.1,5.2 in CA, AZ, NV, UT) and Water Efficiency (1.1,1.2,3.1,3.2). Cudos may be installed as a single-level system, or connected vertically, to form a CUDO stack, increasing storage capacity. Formed stacks can be easily moved about a construction site. For each application, either a filter fabric or plastic liner is placed beneath and around the CUDO modules, forming an envelope around the entire system. Geo-grid or other structural enhancement may be incorporated into the Cudo installation, depending on the loading requirements. For installations with severe loading conditions due to shallow or deep burial depths, high water tables, and further enhanced maintenance access, Cudo water storage systems are also available in precast concrete designs to address the needs of such special site conditions.
