Windsor
is Sonoma County's newest city, incorporated in 1992 and still
retaining a small town community feeling. The old downtown
is increasingly vital and the addition of a plaza gives the
community a real center. Windsor tends to be more affordable
than towns to the South. Activities include golf, hiking or
biking at Foothills Regional Park. One of Windsor's main events
is the Hot Air Balloon Celebration held over Fourth of July
Weekend.
