Views From a Train - Allen Takichi Maertz

Click any image to view full screen...

In the autumn of 1999, I traveled from the western United States to relocate to the east coast. During that time I started taking the train along the Hudson River to studio hunt in New York City. As I was also keeping a journal, it seemed natural to add to it with the camera.

It is in this body of work called "Views From a Train" that I have collected those memories and a remaking of memories in the poetics of the photographic language.
