John Swain - Editor

John holds a Doctorate Degree in Curriculum & Instruction and began his professional career as a college administrator. He served as Assistant Dean of the School of Liberal Arts at Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado, Assistant Director of the School of Health Related Professions at the University of Arizona, and other teaching and administrative positions.

His subsequent incarnation has been as a commercial photographer for the past 15 years. He has completed 5 successful travel books for Chronicle Books in San Francisco. His work has been well received, including a design award of excellence in New York's prestigious Photo District News 1996 Annual Digital Photo Contest, publication in Graphis' 1998 Digital Photo Issue and numerous design awards for his clients.

John sticks to the quixotic notion that enlightenment is possible through tennis. In the meantime, he pursues moments of quiet through yoga, chi cung and tai chi. And just in case, his refrigerator is full of the appropriate supplements to battle creaky joints and whatever else is thrown his way.

John currently resides in a restored 1898 Victorian with Regina and two over fed dogs, Princess and Budo.
