Michael French

Michael French has loved making photographs for over twenty years. His first show was in a San Francisco gallery in 1976.

The next three years were spent in Italy, where he began doing corporate and industrial work, traveling widely in Western Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

After returning to the United States in 1980 Michael has worked for magazines, book publishers, advertising agencies, and architects in Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Texas.

His commercial work has appeared in many national magazines including Golf Magazine and Progressive Architecture. Additionally, Michael has four coffee table books to his credit.

During the last twenty years he has continued to produce photographs of personal interest which were featured in several one-man shows. His recently published book, "Body Electric" is derived from this material. Among Michael's favorite body electric experiences are windsurfing, white water rafting, and Tai Chi.

Michael was born in Iowa in 1948 and received his B. A. in Philosophy in 1969. He now lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Sherry and has three daughters, Katherine, Makena and Michelle.
